Ahhh, yes. The never-ending quest to find something for Show & Tell when you of course are running late, walking out the door, coffee in hand… and little Suzie says, “I have show and tell today!”
Finding this object is not a chore for the child, but rather for the parent. And while we seem to scramble last minute to find something interesting and educational, there have been times when I wanted to drop a spoon in that paper bag and tell them, “be creative.”
It really should be called: Panic, Search, Show, & then Tell.
But as a backup, I thought it might be helpful for us ALL to create a list here to refer to when we are in a pinch. It just might make that morning a little less stressful when you have to come up with something quickly.
Please leave a note below with your suggestions and/or experience and I’ll add them to the list!
- Bright-colored fall leaves
- Sea shells
- Different types of rock
- Gold coin ($1)
- Random toys (with some protest from Mom)
- Drift wood
- Sea glass
